देशनोक के मुख्य मार्ग से लगभग 1 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर एक अज्ञात व्यक्ति का शव मिला है। शव पर चोट के निशान भी हैं। पुलिस ने शव को मोर्चरी में रखा है, जहां उसका पोस्टमार्टम होगा।

देशनोक पुलिस के अनुसार, मृतक की आयु लगभग 45 से 50 वर्ष की है, और उसने सफेद चादर से अपने आप को ढंका हुआ है। उसके पास एक नीले रंग का थैला मिला है, जिसमें अन्य कपड़े और कुछ सामान है। मृतक के पास से कोई पहचान पत्र नहीं मिलने से अब तक उसकी पहचान नहीं हो पाई है। देशनोक पुलिस ने शव की जांच शुरू कर दी है।
बड़े सवालों के चिन्ह हैं कि यह व्यक्ति कब से यहाँ पर है और किसने उसे यहाँ पर छोड़ दिया है। उसके शरीर पर कट के निशान हैं, जिन्होंने शायद आवारा जानवरों द्वारा किए गए हो सकते हैं या उसे पीटा गया हो सकता है, लेकिन इसकी स्पष्टता अब तक नहीं मिली है। इस व्यक्ति के पास एक बैग भी था, जिसमें कपड़े रखे गए थे। हो सकता है कि वह दर्शन करने के लिए आया था और फिर रास्ते में भटक गया हो। हालांकि सड़क से कुछ पास ही होने के कारण उसकी पहचान करने की आस में कमी है।
